Item Details

Description

Folio (12" x 7.5") ledger, 1860s to 1930s, apparently containing secretarial copies of various court cases or documents. All appear to related to Somerset County in Pennsylvania. The earlier entries date to the 1860s, and the latest entries date to 1936. Included are a variety of documents relating to things such as claims of theft, destruction of property, a charge of Fornication and Basterdy; some later entries in the 1930s relate to traffic issues (operation of motor vehicles, etc.) Much to be discovered, interesting contents. Approximately 20 leaves with entries (some leaves with entries to front and back), the balance of the leaves blank. Bound in 1/2 sheep over marbled boards.

Condition

Binding intact though rubbed and worn, contents with some signs of handling, occasional stains, overall Good.
