This set includes:

(1) One set of size 5 1/2 (adult) Vulcan vintage wooden shoe trees with metal heels. Is approx 9" x 3" x 4". Shoe tree is in good, vintage condition with wearing on shoe tree. It can be used as intended or as a unique decoration.
(1) One men's adjustable shoe tree. In vintage condition with minor wearing and light rusting on the adjustable metal rod. It is approx 12" x 3" x 3" as seen in the image, and can be adjusted to be longer or shorter.
(1) One women's adjustable shoe tree. In vintage condition with minor wearing and light rusting on the adjustable metal rod. It is approx 11" x 3" x 2 1/2" as seen in the image and can be adjusted to be longer or shorter. (Both brands are unknown for adjustable shoe trees).

A shoe tree is a device approximating the shape of a foot that is placed inside a shoe to preserve its shape, stop it from developing creases and thereby extend the life of the shoe. It is a reusable alternative to wadded rags or newspapers. Perhaps more important than maintaining the shape, shoe trees also play a crucial part in wicking away leather-damaging moisture from the inside. This is especially important when shoes are worn without socks, as the sweat absorbed by the leather can lead to lining rot.
