introduced in 1978, the Rolex Oysterquartz was a groundbreaking watch. Designed by Gerald Genta, of Royal Oak fame, the watch has that classic integrated look that collectors love. The ref. 5035 quartz movement is also a work of art, with Geneva striping and precision detailing all around. When Rolex decided to produce a quartz watch, they went all-out on quality and design. The Oysterquartz was produced virtually unchanged from 1978-2004 and remains a prized collectible by the watch community.
• Condition: Dial is in excellent condition. Case is very good, with scratching, but no signs of polishing. Bracelet is tight. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in excellent condition.
