Description
Offered here for your consideration is a group of old Buermann style spurs and a pair of iron stirrups. The iron stirrups in this group are well made and are of a good design. Two of the spurs do not have decoration on the bands or shank, but one has chains. The third pair is chased on the inner and outer bands. Buermann was one of the most famous spur makers and he was also one of the first to mass produce spurs. The bits and stirrups in the group will make a great addition to your collection!
MAKER: Spurs attributed to August Buermann, stirrups like these were also available in the Buermann catalog.
APPROX AGE: Antique (meaning made prior to the 1930s).
SIZE: Stirrups measure approx 7 inches long x 5 inches at the widest opening. Spurs measure between 2 3/4 inches to 3 3/8 inches at the heel opening, from 1/4 inch to 5/8 inch wide at the band and at the shank 1 3/4 inches to 2 1/2 inches.
CONDITION: Average for their age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
