Description
ASSORTED SPANISH BRASS CANDLESTICKS, LOT OF TWO, each with a hollow drum-form base with ribbing to the top and bottom edges, baluster-form stems, candle sockets comprising of an example with two circular-form extracting holes and remaining example with two square-form extracting holes, top of each slightly wavy. Third quarter 17th century. 5 3/4" H, 5 1/2" D base and 8 1/2" H, 5" D base.

Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
Condition
Good overall condition with expected wear, some scattered light denting, tallest example with a repair to edge of base and to the top at stem and base juncture.
