Description
STAINED AND CUT GLASS WINDOW PANE, colorless and amber, rectangular form having arabesque/ribbon-like swirling pattern with beaded metal trim, cutting to the edges of the panes, exterior frame having beveled panes with interrupting cut-faceted jewels, all within a wooden frame with original latching mechanism at the base, green-painted frame to the reverse. Maker unverified. First half 20th century. 43" x 27 3/4".

Glass deaccessioned by the Bennington Museum, Bennington, VT. All proceeds will go toward the museum's Collections Acquisition Fund.

Condition
Glass nearly undamaged with a single short crack going across one amber scroll just above the left, median oval; frame in excellent condition with a thin loss to the backside of the frame; expected wear to the frame.
