Description
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS COIN SILVER SMALL COVERED PITCHER, ovoid baluster-form, featuring a hinged lid with a figural foliate finial, a scrolled handle with thumbrest and bone insulators, and beaded borders around rim and foot rim, raised on an ovoid foot, one side of neck with engraved "S.H.M." initials. Base impressed with maker's mark for Jones, Ball & Poor (active 1846-1853), "BOSTON", and "Pure / Coin". Total weight including non-silver components: 17.14 ozt. Mid 19th century. 8 5/8" HOA.

Condition
Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, nicks, and dents mostly being minor/small, a moderate dent to side of foot, insulators with hairlines, top insulator with a repair, handle is slightly loose with one bottom securing pin moving easily in place.
