JAPANESE SATSUMA HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN ARTICLES, LOT OF SEVEN, comprising three vases depicting various figures, one 7 1/8" D plate featuring a family, a tri-footed jar lacking cover, a covered reticulated jar with molded guardian lion / foo dog mask handles featuring three birds to one side, reverse with a temple-like structure, and floral surround, and a cup depicting a snow-capped mountain and various Japanese structures. Each having various character marks to underside. Second half 19th to 20th century. 6 1/8" HOA.
Condition
Five undamaged, some having moderate crazing and minor expected wear to gilt decoration; reticulated jar having a minute flake to one guardian lion mask handle and cover broken and glued with minor loss to edge; hexagonal vase having professional restoration to rim.
