Stamped 'Sun and Moon' ideogram and signature to shade 'Isamu Noguchi'. Cast manufacturer's mark to underside 'Made in Japan'.

Good condition. Updated shade is slightly too long for base, with excess shade resting neatly at base. Base element with minor scuffs and scratches associated with age and use. Floor stand is lacking original finial, which has been replaced with a standard hex nut. Wired for American use and functions properly when tested. Sold with original box for shade. Due to the inherent qualities of Mulberry bark paper, Akari light sculptures possess some patina, wrinkling, discoloration, creasing and minute pinholes with age and gentle handling
