Marked London, 1861, probably Charles Shaw; inscribed 'H.M Iron Cased Frigate, Resistance, Christened and Launched by the Lady Mayorefs, 11th April 1861.' and 'Built by Westwood, Ballie, Campbell & Co., London Yard, Cubitts Town, Poplar; Length 292 Feet Depth from Spar Deck 38.2 1/8, Breadth 54 Feet, Builders Measurement 3840 40/94 tons.'

Minor wear, a few minor bruises to the silver mounts. Otherwise in good condition.
