Vintage Sterling Van Dell Cameo Brooch Pendant on 18" Chain, 1940's-1960's. The cameo is a shell mother-of-pearl with a brownish base and a white carved cameo. It is bezel-set and raised above a wide aterling base with a rope ccent. It is both a brooch and a pendant and is appx. 1.25" tall with the bil and 1" wide. The bail is hinged and hides in the back when used as a brooch. It is signed Van Dell and marked sterling and tests as sterling with an appx. weight of 4.70 gr. The chain is a 1mm curb links non-sterling chain with Sarah Coventry Hang tag. It is 18" but can be worn at 16" too as it has a jump ring in the chain at the 16" point. Very clean for both the Van Dell piece and the chain and in very good condition. (W610.1723.1X1 SS11994 J LD 9/20/23).
