A wonderfully realistic flying bird (whimsical paint job but most likely meant to be a Canadian or Snow Goose) with a make-do stand (stand is actually one of those mug stands that sets of coffee/tea mugs come with). The bird is approximately 5 5/8” from beak to tail and the wingspan is about 6”. At its thickest point (belly) the body is 1 ½” and the beak is about ¾”. Excellent condition, considering how fragile it is, with only some minor soiling and rubbing to the paint, primarily on the edges of the wings and the beak. Body, including the head, tail and beak, are carved from a single piece of wood; each wing was carved separately. The stand and white “twisty” were added after I got the bird. Bird will be taken off the stand for shipping.
