Description: Placard with photographic images of 12 female hockey players and their male manager, plus the three trophies they famously won. 19.5x24.5 cm (7¾x9¾").Rare publicity card for the skirt-wearing skaters of some renown. The Calgary Regents were a women's ice hockey team from Calgary, Alberta during the 1910s and 1920s. They won the Alpine Cup at the Banff Winter Carnival four times between 1917 and 1921, the last time defeating the Vancouver Amazons 4 goals to 1 after a hat-trick by right winger Mabel Short, who is pictured on this card from the preceding year.

Backed with paper remnants of album leaf, the card darkened, some corner wear, a vertical scratch that intrudes into one image; good condition.
