Cogswell & Harrison was established in May 1770 and is London's oldest surviving gun maker. Breech-load lever-action, Henry rifling patent marked on 28" barrel. Engraved receiver with blued finish and traces of case hardening. No. 352 engraved on receiver tang. NOTE: Caliber appears to .45. Likely chamber cast required to determine actual cartridge used. Mechanical issue with safely lever, very stiff and action lever does not fully open. Antique
