Description
French Gilt Bronze and Marble Drum Clock, 19th c., with a circular top platform over a drum clock with a painted enamel dial, on gilt torch form legs, beneath a garland surmount, now with a replaced battery movement, H.- 7 in., W.- 10 3/4 in., D.- 9 in. Provenance: The Estate of Jay Calamia, property from the Dufour-Plassan House, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
The bottom center of the marble clock has a crack and a small loss. The back center of the clock and the inside rim have cracks. Movements are lacking from clock with notable plaster filler. It has been replaced by a battery-operated mechanism. The right rear mount is loose. See additional photographs.
