A silver cigarette box, of rectangular form with foliate engraved border, the lid engraved,'To Jimmy and Vera on the occasion of their Ruby Wedding 4th March 1967 from Bill and Sheila', Birmingham 1965, 15 cm wide, 9 cm deep, 3.5 cm high, three continental silver and glass swan form salt cellars with hinged wings, import marks for London 1978, and two Victorian silver mustard spoons, Charles Boyton London 1873
Cigarette Box: Jimmy and Vera refer to Sir James and Vera Carreras, film producer and executive who founded Hammer Film Productions and his wife. It is understood this was a gift from Billy Butlin and his partner at the time Sheila Devine, whom he later married in 1975. Sir James and Billy were good friends and both heavily involved with the Variety Club.
