This combo of a strong animal being in such pose creates tension and attraction. The pendant is made of silverium which is blackened silver alloyed with 18k gold. Cartier registered Silverium as their trademark in 1987 and first used for iconic Cartier panther motif. The alloy soon found its way to other designs. The Cartier Panthere pendant is made of silverium, the Panthere's eyes and the bail are made of 18 karat yellow gold. It measures 24" x 1/16" (60 x 0.2 cm) and weighs 7.8 grams. The Cartier chain is stamped with Cartier maker's mark, serial number, hallmark for 18 karat gold, country of manufacture. About Cartier Panthere Collection: The Panthère de Cartier collection is one of the most iconic and enduring jewelry and watch collections created by the French brand. The collection's history dates to the 1910s, however it gained significant prominence and recognition during the 1980s and beyond. The inspiration is said to have come from Jeanne Toussaint, Cartier's creative director, who was often referred to as "La Panthère" due to her strong and bold personality. The first appearance of the panther in Cartier's designs dates to a 1914 wristwatch with a panther-spotted pattern. The collection experienced a major resurgence in popularity during the 1980s. The brand reimagined the panther motif in a more stylized and contemporary form. The Panthère collection continues to be an important part of the brand's legacy. The panther motif has been reinterpreted in various ways, adapting to contemporary design trends while retaining its timeless allure. About Cartier Brand: Timeless Excellence is Cartier’s second name. The quality standards of Cartier jewelry were set in 1902 by King George VII. After making 27 tiaras for the coronation, Cartier was announced as the crown’s official jewels seller. Since then, Cartier was proclaimed as “king of jewelry, the jeweler of kings.” And this statement is still up to date. Compared to other famous luxury jewelry brands, such as Van Cleef & Arpels or Tiffany & Co. who are working with precious stones a lot, Cartier is strictly focusing on diamonds and different colored gold. Over time Cartier created a great number of truly iconic pieces. From a classic Cartier Love bracelet to the famous Cartier Panther collection and Cartier Trinity, without mentioning a wide variety of Cartier watches — you name it! But our hearts belong to vintage Cartier jewelry. We appreciate the uniqueness and craftsmanship of our estate pieces. Each of them has a timeless character and tells the most fascinating stories. The exquisite quality of the Cartier pieces is unquestionable. At the same time, the Cartier Maison continuously keeps creativity, innovative spirit and loyalty to traditions running at the highest level possible. Whether you are purchasing a Cartier diamond ring or any other jewelry by Cartier, you are becoming an owner of a symbol of Timeless Excellence. About Estate Jewelry: Estate jewelry is an excellent way to buy high-quality pieces at a fair price. Those who appreciate classic or one-of-a-kind pieces prefer purchasing estate jewelry for a wide range of styles and historical influences. Buying jewelry online can be challenging. The quality of the making has not gotten better over time while the design is getting more and more generic. Add ever rising prices and you could end up not finding anything suitable. To purchase a high-quality jewelry piece for an obtainable price consider buying estate items. • Quality vs Quantity Estate pieces mostly belong to the era when jewels were handmade and not mass produced. There were simply less jewelry makers at that time and they cared about their reputation. Opposed to the current fast fashion approach, life pace was in general slower. That allowed makers to take more time to craft a truly quality piece. • Fair price vs Overpriced Designer pieces aka signed pieces can cost multiple times more than their unsigned equivalents. We pay not only for an item itself but also for the brand advertising campaigns and all the buzz the name creates. Prices for estate jewelry form differently and mostly depend on the cost paid by a seller. A pre-owned Bulgari ring and a brand-new Bulgari piece have a significant price difference. Ask your local jewelry store about the retail price of the desired piece and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. • True value vs Seasonal Rush Pre-owned jewelry retains its value as over time it gets unique and sought-after. Think about purchasing a new car that loses its value right after you leave your dealer versus buying a vintage vehicle. At Nadine Krakov Collection we are in love with all the things beautiful. Each of our estate jewelry pieces is in excellent condition. We preserve the history and the greatest styles of the past so our clients can enjoy it to the fullest.
