British items lot to include 1) Prince Edward The Prince of Wales 1926 Empire Day Medal. A good original Bronze medal, struck for the 'British Empire Union' for distribution to children throughout the Empire on 24 May 1926 for 'Empire Day'; the obverse with bust of the 'Prince of Wales' facing left, the reverse depicting an ancient galley, seen through the archway of a stone bridge; above a radiate sun. 'FOR GOD. KING. AND. EMPIRE'. Excellent.condition, retaining original red, white and blue ribbon. 2) EDWARD VIII CORONATION MEDAL. To the obverse an image of King Edward VIII with the texts H.M. EDWARD VIII, KING AND EMPEROR. To the reverse BIRTH 23 JUNE 1894 P. OF WALES 13 JULY 1911 ACCESSION 20 JAN 1936 CORONATION 12 MAY 1937. The king which abdicated Edward VIII. A very divisive and interesting Royal one which still divides opinion today. Excellent. 3) NATIONAL DEFENCE COMPANY HAT BADGE EDWARD VIII (1936). 4) EDWARD VIII CORONATION MEDAL.
