A pair of named bronze and silvered bronze French Non Portable Awards or medals. To the obverse a hunter with his trusted companion at his side. The medals are signed by the artist and in excellent condition. To the reverse in a banner around the medal "Société Centrale Pour L'amélioration Des Races De Chiens En France" , Central Society for the Improvement of Dog Breeds in France. To the center "Exposition Canine Paris 1922" Both medals are named. The bronze colored 3 E. PRIX PILOT RETRIEVER LABRADOR AM. DOWNES. The silvered bronze is named to 2 E PRIX (C.J.) BONDMAN OF WARE COCKER AM DOWNES. Both are stamped BRONZE to their sides. Excellent. The SCC was founded in 1881, a non-profit association under the 1901 law, approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Société Centrale Canine aims to promote dog breeds in France, as well as the promotion and protection of various roles of dogs in society.
