Lot of WWII US Posters to include 1) YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO MISS EITHER! BUY BONDS EVERY PAYDAY POSTER. This vintage original poster was created by the artist Martha Sawyers and issued by the United States Treasury in 1944 to help promote the sale of war bonds. The dramatic image of a crewman on an American bomber manning a machine gun as an attacking enemy fighter trailing black smoke plunges toward earth underscores the poster's tagline "YOU can't afford to miss EITHER! Buy Bonds Every Payday". The poster was issued folded and still shows the original fold lines. The poster retains bold color and displays very well. Overall MINT measuring 14 X 10 inches 2) PORTS ARE OFTEN BOMBED WHEN CONVOYS ARE IN BECAUSE SOMEBODY TALKED Never mention arrivals, sailings, cargoes or destinations to anybody.
