TWO FRENCH OPALINE GLASS TABLE LAMPS • France • Late 19th/early 20th century • White one with glass ball-form shade, and blue one with a plastic shade • Electrified • Approx. 28 1/4' height • 6 3/8' diameter (base) • Approx. 6' diameter (shade) Footnotes: Provenance: New England Industrialist Lucius Bowles Darling was a successful businessman and politician, including his appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island (1885-1887), member of the Rhode Island State Board of Education, and owner of the Pawtucket, Rhode Island Music Hall Building.
