German flare gun, a black ‘ayf 42’ (Erma Factory, 1943) smooth barrel pistol with checkered Bakelite grips, the barrel further engraved with standard ‘Eagle 280’ Waffenamt proofs on right as well, with serial no. 5081l. A lever is fitted at the front of the trigger guard, and when activated, it opens the spring-assisted barrel. Light wear to the finish, else excellent condition.
