German gas mask and canister, standing 10.5 in. tall with a 5 in. dia., for a member of the civil defense organization the Reichsluftschutzbund. The lid of the canister is maker marked ‘Auer’ and with the painted number ‘66’. The mask bears a matching ‘66’ at the center and original strap. Pasted to the bottom is a paper slip designating it for use by the ‘Luftschutz’. The oxidized canister retains all of its original paint and strap. A fine relic.
