A superb ring designed for presentation to generals, Knight’s Cross winners or high-ranking politicians to proudly wear. This signet-style ring features a majestic German eagle at the center with an SS shield on its chest, and oak leaves on the side of the shank, all set within glossy black enamel. Stamped on the interior of the ring ‘835’ for silver content and produced by Franz Schnell in Halle, known for their jewelry made for the NSDAP. Two small areas of enamel loss at one edge, mentioned only for accuracy. A striking example in near fine condition. This exact ring appears on p. 74 in ‘German & Spanish Military Rings: A Historical Perspective’ by Stephen J. Shaw (Lancaster: Kollektor Press, 2021), and is accompanied by a copy of the book.
