Description
A fine Nazi election poster from the 1930s, 47 x 33 in., shows a stylized painting by Felix Albrecht of a strong German man standing before a swastika carved from stone, with the title ‘The Worker Awakens’. Three characters at the left (one of course a Jew and another a Communist peasant) offer him spurious broadsides with anti-NSDAP propaganda to consider: ‘Hitler barons emergency decrees rush and defamation the bigwigs in bacon the people in dirt’; also ‘For Soviet Russia…beat the professionals Civil War…’ and so forth. At the bottom, the poster emphasizes the need to check off number ‘2’ on the election ballot. Light wear to the margins, otherwise very good.
