Rare pair of heavy wool combat pants issued to a member of the Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler (LSAH), originally Hitler's bodyguard and a unit of the Waffen-SS. These feldgrau pants are unique to the division in that they were the only combat pants to be piped in white. The pants bear a five-button fly, two slash pockets at the front, and one buttoned pocket with flap on the right rear seat. There are two straps to tighten the waist, as well as buttons and tabs within the waist for use of suspenders. A watch pocket is fitted at the front right, above which the owner fitted a small steel ring to which he clipped his watch to avoid its loss. The very top of the piping on the right leg has pulled slightly loose and could be easily repaired, no mothing evident anywhere and in otherwise fine condition. A rare uniform component!
