Luftwaffe M1938 Fallschirmjager (‘paratrooper’) helmet with four spanner bolts securing the liner. The exterior paint in slate grey, showing a Luftwaffe eagle decal applied to the left side, beneath the spanner bolt. The brown leather liner bears a few tears and is rather delicate, maker marked by Karl Heisler of Berlin. Size marked ‘59’, further marked ‘71’, and with an indistinguishable company name. A paratrooper style leather 'Y' chinstrap is present and fully intact and remains quite supple, straps showing a blue/grey finish to the exposed side and brown leather color to the bottom side. All pieces are original and intact. Very nice example.
