A fascinating group of eight candid color slides of Patton, each faced in glass with metal edges and originating from the estate of Patton’s friend and deputy commander Keyes in North Africa. Images include: a Patton tour of historic ruins in North Africa, probably Carthage; a second 2nd armored division colonel, likely a member of Patton’s staff; a superb clear image of Patton in full military regalia; an image of Patton’s burial at Luxembourg; a second slide of the funeral; Patton in a field with power line in backdrop, most likely North Africa; a fine standing image of Patton, with backdrop of Sicily; and an image of Patton when he received the The Order of Ouissam Alaouite, standing with Omar N. Bradley and one other general not identified by us. All appear to be in fine condition and are almost certainly unpublished!
