Polizei-Dienstpass issued to German Police (SS) Oberwachtmeister Felix Palkovitz of the III. Polizei Regiment 4 which was incorporated into the SS in mid-1943. The foldout sheet midway through the book shows he served in Poland and was involved in dozens of battles against ‘partisans’ locally and in the countryside, though many times in what were apparently anti-Jew mopping-up efforts. Palkovitz was promoted to oberwachtmeister or constable, senior constable, and a third unidentified promotion in 1943. The last entry in the book was in 1944. The ‘book cover’ has been made out of a blank immunization form. Held within a badly torn envelope for Palkovitz, indicating his pass is inside. Overall, very good condition.
