Description
(1902 - 1986) Luftwaffe commander and a recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. Lot of two signed pieces, includes: T.L.S. on his personal letterhead, 2pp. legal folio, Guttersloh, June 27, 1968 to an American history professor, mentioning his pleasure in touring San Francisco and seeing the ‘rich, old culture’. He also sends thanks for guiding his wife and him through the city, and was pleased that students showed much interest in Germany since ‘the catastrophe’. He states that he will gladly remain available to meet with such students at any time. File holes at left, otherwise very good. WITH: a S.P. 4 x 6 in. b/w, an illustration in side view, signed in blue fountain ink at bottom. Signature is a little light, otherwise very good. Two pieces.
