Edgar Britton, gouache on paper of Trapeze Performers, dated 1947signed and dated lower right, sight 20 in. x 14 in., Framed 28 1/2 in. x 22 1/4 in., not examined out of frame but appears to be in very good condition. Britton painted a number circus related scenes around the 1947 Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus that visited Colorado Springs in 1947. We assume that this wonderful piece is of performers from this event.
