Elgin National Watch Co., Elgin, Illinois, a late 19th century grade 102 pocket watch, 18 size, 11 jewels, stem wind and lever set, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in an 8 karat, yellow gold, engine turned and engraved hunting case, arabic numeral, single sunk O'Hara style multicolor enamel dial with gilt Louis XIV hands, serial #3206080, 103.2g TW

CASE: Case has housed another movement; Shallow dents; Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Shallow dents and very fine scratches on cuvette; Acrylic crystal; Lip on rear cover with significant loss; Pendant with short cracks at bow joint; Bow with wear; Bow loose; Crown with significant wear; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Two hairlines; Tiny edge flakes. HANDS: Minute replaced, short. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks); Low amplitude, needs service, circa 1890
