Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., an early 20th century grade "993" pocket watch, 16 size, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, temperature and isochronism, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold screws, gold jewel settings, and whiplash micrometric regulator in a 14 karat, yellow gold, engraved hunting case with engraved presentation on gold cuvette, Montgomery arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial with blued steel spade hands, serial #1017201, 94.7g TW
Condition
Case has housed another movement; Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Front cover opens slowly; Bow and crown with minor wear; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Faint hairline, 11:00; Crystal cement residue at edge of dial. HANDS: Minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; A few more significant scratches at crown wheel; Winding wheels with a few fine scratches; Winding wheels with a few specks of oxide; Scattered pin pricks; Regulator assembly with minor oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), circa 1915
