Picard Fils, La Chaux de Fonds, an early 20th century gold quarter repeating pocket chronograph, 16 jewels, stem wind and lever set gilt plate movement, with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in an 18 karat, yellow gold hunting case with maker's details engraved on gold cuvette, arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial with outer spiral tachymetre scale and plum colored steel spade and poker hands, serial #260738, 101.9g TW
Condition
CASE: Dents and deformation; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Cuvette with minor dents and fine scratches; Front cover with gap at band when closed; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: Chronograph hand with minor oxide; Seconds replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor losses to gilding; Scattered very fine scratches on plate; Some screw heads with minor marring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION: Functions properly; Repeat pusher stiff, circa 1900
