Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "4992B", with steel navigation watch container, 16 size, 22 jewels, stem wind and set, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement and whiplash micrometric regulator in a nickel, screw back and bezel, chrome plated base metal case with ordnance department information engraved on back, arabic numeral 24 hour black painted dial with white painted spade and poker hands, serial #4C7415, contained in a gray painted, cylindrical steel case with viewing aperture and shock mount, by Geo. H. Adamson, Tecumseh, Michigan
Condition
CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Numerous fine scratches on outer surface of case; Plating worn through on case back; Inside of back cover with case screw scratch; Acrylic crystal; Bow loose. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; Short scratch at click; Pin pricks and minor abrasion on sweep seconds cock; Specks of dirt. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks); Balance spring not centered. Carrying case a bit dirty and with minor losses to paint, circa 1940
