8.25 h x 4 dia in (21 x 10 cm)
The cylindrical vase is the earliest known example of Deck's experiments with glaze on porcelain forms, which he did not perfect until around 1882.
Glazed signature to underside of each example 'TH Deck' and dated to underside of taller example '1871'.
Provenance: Important French Japonisme Collection
