Private Collection 24" x 10" Very Heavy Quanyim Marble Sculpture Beautifully executed hand carved marble buddha head fragment of Quan Yin. The youthful face is peaceful and serine framed by an intricately carved headdress. A striking art object with fine quality workmanship. This is an older piece most likely late 19th century and of Asian origin, possibly China. Very heavy weighing over 60 pounds. Possibly started out as part of full body statue. It is signed as shown in photo. Note: stand not included, the marble head does not rest upright due to the heavy weight. A custom stand will need to be made to properly stand upright without tipping over.
