Condition
The canvas does not appear to have been lined.
There is some rubbing visible along the right framing edge and to the lower right framing edge.
There is an area of paint loss in sky, along the top framing edge with another area beginning to lift. There is a further, smaller chip to the paint surface in the lower right framing edge.
Craquelure and separation are visible throughout.
There are spots of surface dirt scattered across the composition.
UV light reveals an area of retouching in the centre left of the sky, with two smaller areas next to the top left framing edge. The larger area of retouching is just visible to the naked eye.
