Description
Five pieces of dining car china for the Milwaukee Road including a Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway Olympian teacup and saucer set, top marked and manufactured by Limoges with gold decorations. These were given away to female passengers who volunteered to serve tea. The teacup measures 3 1/2" across and shows mild wear to the gold and stacking wear on the bottom. The saucer top marked The Olympian measures 5" and shows mild wear to the gold along the edge and to the center mark. Group also includes a 5 3/8" saucer top marked with the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway To Puget Sound Electrified box logo by Haviland France, showing minor scratches to the gold. Two 5 5/8" saucers top marked with the Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul & Pacific box logo in gold and bottom stamped Lenox, showing minimal signs of use but the box logos have a few scratches. No chips, cracks, or breaks.
