Description
A Wedgwood 'Argus Pheasant', Fairyland lustre pedestal bowl, 1920s, designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones (1881-1945), with motifs of pheasants amongst prunus and foliage, the foot decorated with a rim of scrolling dragons, to the underneath with underglaze factory marks and signed 'Z5306 ARGUS', 23.5cm diameter 12cm high Condition Report: With a professionally restored crack to the side of the bowl - still emits a good 'ring' when tapped. The marks to the underneath faded. The rim with some scuffs and marks.
