The canvas is unlined and retains its original stretchers. The tacking edges are strip lined with brown tape to prevent damage and can easily be removed if desired. The paint surface is in good, clean condition. There is a faint stretcher bar mark near the extreme top edge. There is a minor area of radial cracking at upper left in the sky. There are small areas of finely spaced craquelure faintly visible along the extreme bottom edge where the paint is applied thickly, notably near the lower left corner. Upon inspection under ultraviolet light, there are no visibly apparent signs of inpainting or other forms of restoration.
