T. R. Williams Stereocard, Scenes in Our Village, No.5, text to reverse reads 'SCENES IN OUR VILLAGE. THE CHURCH SEEN THROUGH THE TREES. TWILIGHT. There is a silence in the hour, The bee's sweet hum is scarcely heard; No zephyr fans the fragrant flower, And not a timid warbling bird Is there to break the sacred charm, That binds my heart to thoughts of Thee. Condition: slight foxing to card , stain to edge, image good but slightly faded. Note: These 1850's views are of the village of Hinton Waldrist in Oxfordshire and are considered to be Williams's masterpiece. They were the subject of the book 'A Village Lost and Found', by Brian May & Elena Vidal, published 2009.
