Item Details

Description

Sold by and signed D. S. Crosby of New York. This early piece features mother of pearl and paint on a solid cast iron frame. Cir.a1830s-1850s. The 8 day time and strike movement winds, runs, and chimes every hour and was more than likely purchased by the New Haven Clock Company of Connecticut. Case was repainted at one point. There is a 1/2" chip to the cast iron case on the right side rear edge about halfway from the bottom (see photos). Paper dial upper and lower glass and pendulum are replacements. Clock is heavy, weighs nearly 20lbs. Comes with replacement key. Please review photos carefully or call us for additional information.
