The silver dollar was struck at the Philadelphia mint in 1883. It is in mint uncirculated condition and only a couple of bag marks away from being worth 3000 to $5000.

The silver dollar comes housed in a beautiful capital three by three holder which has protected the coin probably since the 1980s.This coin is fully struck with the original cartwheel luster. It has an incredible frame of toning around the edges which are visible on both sides.

In today's market this would easily grade MS64.To give you an idea of how grading has changed over the last 30 years look at the label on the top of the box that this silver dollar came in. Not only did they grade it a full MS-65 but the price was $550. The funny thing is that if you really understood early grading this probably was an MS-65 and this is what it surely sold for. Underpriced for a coin that looks this nice
