Description: Four black & white silkscreen prints on 285 gram art paper in portfolio with silver-foil decoration. 13" x 13". Mild corner bump to portfolio, silver foil a bit rubbed, prints in excellent condition. Limited Edition: #87 of 100, all four prints signed by Crumb.Four scenes of conflict and mayhem from the pages of scripture, as interpreted by R. Crumb. "If my visual, literal interpretation of the Book of Genesis offends or outrages some readers, which seems inevitable considering that the text is revered by many people, all I can say in my defense is that I approached it as a straight illustration job, with no intention to ridicule or make visual jokes. That said, I know you can't please everybody." – R. Crumb.______________________________________________________________
A limited edition of ten hardcover catalogues is available, in addition to a few dozen softcovers. Fun reference, great keepsake, fully illustrated, chockablock with obscure facts, gags, bon mots.
