GPAnalysis: A 4.5 sold for $203 in 3/20; a 5.0 sold for $695 in 8/23.Wicked Waxwork: Mummy's revenge; man shot in pan; crook crushed by chandelier; carved cabeza; man's mug curb-stomped; evil wax dummies melted alive; general mayhem.
"Overstreet notes that 'Excessive violence, severed heads, injury to eye are common No. 5 on.' He's right. The early issues of The THING! are interesting as 'warmups' for what's about to come. The THING! #5 features a decapitated walking monster cover and one of the more gruesome horror stories to appear in comics, 'Murderer's Row.'" – George Suarez, Terrology #11.
