He goes on an anti-robot crusade, writing a series of popular books and articles decrying the mechanized menace. As his writing career takes off, he has an epiphany: "The robots are GOOD for mankind! Look what they did for me! They took away my job in the factory – and that gave me an OPPORTUNITY to discover a TALENT within myself – that I never would have known about, otherwise! My talent for WRITING!"

It's a galling tale to read now that AI is quietly taking over the arts. How quaint that we once imagined robots would relieve human drudgery, freeing us to pursue creative endeavors. Instead, bots "write" and "draw" with superhuman facility, leaving the grunt work to lowly humans.______________________________________________________________
