Norman Merritt (1935-2017) watercolor on paper, signed lower left, measures (14 x 20.5) and (20 x 27.5) with custom wood frame and acid free matting. Over the course of decades as an illustrator, Norman Merritt documented some of the South Bay’s most iconic scenes and celebrities in hundreds of landscapes and portraits. Later in his career, he was president of the Society of Illustrators and co-founded the Los Angeles chapter of the Graphic Artists Guild.
