Chinese, two (2) pieces. The ink stone carved with dragon motifs, on a carved to fit slender wooden stand and conforming lid. The rectangular lidded basalt box with elaborate carved dragon motif and turtle to the lid.
Box: 1 1/2 x 7.1 x 4.7 in. (3.8 x 18 x 11.9 cm.), ink stone: 1.1 x 5.2 x 3 3/4 in. (2.8 x 13.2 x 9.5 cm.)
