early 20th century, each a Buddhist ornament that would be hung from the rafters of temple halls, comprised of gilded copper in a reticulated foliate design with engraved details featuring lotus blossom motifs and ribbon ties, the center each inscribed with Japanese characters.

Condition
Rubbing to gilt decoration, would have originally had bells and additional ornaments affixed to the small rings at the upper edge, otherwise good estate condition.
